Turkey Hunts

Arizona boasts an impressive population of Merriam's turkey and a growing flock of Gould's turkey. Merriam's turkey hunts take place in both the spring and fall. Calling is of course the way to go for the spring hunts-tags are by draw and your chance of drawing a tag can be 100% in some units. Turkey hunting is addictive and a great hunt in the middle of the "off-season". A large Tom will go well over 20 pounds and provides excellent table fare for a very personal Thanksgiving meal. Your guides are wise to the wary birds and will put you in some excellent habitat.
