Black Bear Hunts

Arizona is home to a healthy black bear population. Several color phases of black bears occur in our state. We offer hunts during both the spring and fall seasons. Fall bear tags are available over the counter and spring tags are issued by a draw. We hunt bears via the spot and stalk method. Hunters will be awake well before sun up, hike to a vantage point our guides have scouted from and glass for long periods of time. Under some circumstances, guides will attempt to call in a bear that holds just outside of rifle range. A bear over 300 pounds is great, with anything over 350 pounds a true Arizona trophy.
